He doesn’t know anything about Micah to make such crude assumption about his character or psychology. How you quickly jump to Oren’s defense over his nasty generalizations exhibits more about your views on race than Oren’s.

I never said black people don’t tan. I’m black myself, pretty light-skinned, but in the summer, especially when visiting my family in the south, my skin tone tends to be a shade darker than usual. Generally speaking WE — i.e. we meaning black people — do not intentionally go to tanning beds to get tans. That’s not something we do. There may be a select few who do that, but in general, that’s not our thing.

Yes, Brandon85 makes a valid point…one that’s probably closer to the facts than Oren’s eroticizing Micah’s race and skin tone.

The makeup artist put waaaay too much pancake concealer on Micah’s face that does not match his natural skin tone. This is much more evident in the glam photos from this shoot that WB did not use.

I apologize to those who took offense to my comment. I certainly did not intend for it to be insensitive in any way, shape, or form. I have friends of all races, backgrounds, and walks of life and I am a strong supporter of equality and human rights to all. And as I said earlier, I’m multiracial myself.

The intention of the comment was directed at his tanning (yes I believe he tanned). I also meant for it to provide a little comic relief to the serious subject matters that have been discussed on this thread this week.

just to clarify something. People with dark skin do get darker if they stay out in the sun long enough, but they don’t “go tan”. They generally don’t go to tanning salons and lay in toaster beds, or spray on fake bake. Now of course i’m talking about people who wouldn’t consider themselves mixed. Gasp! Oh no it’s not good to generalize– I think this is safe to say.

It takes longer for darker skinned people to go back to their original color after getting tanned, and it’s next to impossible for them to get sun burned and have the kind of peeling white people do.
