The funny thing about my hobby is that you never know where you will meet the right boys. Outinpublic has gone WAY past the stupid setups they had when they were shot in the U.S. Some things I’ve read here and there have given me the impression that porn companies here are not allowed legally to push the envelope with public display. The only ones that shoot in public that I can think of are at places like Folsom, where there’s no sense of taboo in the community and therefore no sense of getting “caught.” But OIP has some scenes now where it’s not even a matter of whether it’s believable because they are on urban streets or train station platforms rather than some private business where extras are clearly paid to play bystanders.

While the “public” stuff does ring truer in the European venues, USean Cody 2257 still requires that proof of the model’s age be on file if the video is sold in the US. (Not sure how that works with free stuff.) So, unless they are getting away with something, these are not as spontaneous as they may appear. The Czech Republic is one of the *least* religion-focused countries, so there’s probably less stigma attached to doing gay porn than there would be elsewhere. Also, there are a lot of poor Czech street boys who really need the cash, so the two factors together add up to lots of willingness to do porn. Ironically, when I was a kid — which pre-dated Czech porn, I always had a fascination with this country but never knew why.
