Star Trek: A Gay XXX Parody Trailer (Starring Donny Forza, Jack Hunter, Jordan Boss, Micah Brandt and Rod Peterson)

Short answer:
They are ignorant breeders.

Long answer:
These parodies tend to not resonate with gay audiences b/c they are being pulled from mainstream media. As such the scenarios were pre-written for a largely white, but entirely heterosexual audience, and contain inherent perspectives which excludes same-sex attraction on physical and emotional levels. Gay men have spent their lives from pre-adolescence to wherever they are now, not seeing themselves reflected (palpably) in media and often need to “translate” experiences in order to become invested in romantic or sexual story lines.

In parodies that delight straight people, we are still required to translate. There is a firm idea of a character initially presented as straight that we must now imagine as gay. We already spend much of our lives doing this. It is too much extra work just to get off to porn. It can come off as more amusing than anything b/c some guys don’t realize they are rejecting the translation and instead find absurdity in the situation.

Good narratives – OUR narratives – have gradually been erased from gay porn. In the late 1990s to early 2000s large studios produced films with great plots that interwove one sex scene into another. And they worked b/c they were written for a specific perspective, and same-sex attraction was never presented as being unusual. Two movies that come to mind are Chi Chi LaRue’s “Wrong Side of the Tracks” (C1R/Rascal 2005), and Rutherford’s “Big Rig” (Colt/Buckshot 2006). Both have great sex scenes, but the stories make it hotter since you become invested in why the guys are fucking.
