The fewer updates, I can understand given the current situation. But the long wait and then releasing such a tragic pairing like this… no ma’am. The least they can do is give a stellar update after a long wait to give value to their members’ money.

I totally agree except the fewer updates from Corbin Fisher were definitely before COVID-19 happened. They’d been on a very irregular update schedule (some weeks 4 updates, some 2 to 3 at best) for some time. And for a site who’s lowest monthly discount is generally $20 (compared to other studios with just as lengthy as a video library but way lower membership discounts offered), I think it’s fair to have a high expectation for that price.

This studio has shown to have quite a few unseen updates in their vault along with reusable content (scenes from their “getaway” trips that have still not been released to their general membership). Like you said, if this is going to be the studio’s new normal, then let the updates be worth viewing.

CF is most comparable to SC. SC has eliminated solos, cut back to two scenes and now (if the rumors are true), cut back to one scene a week. And they charge extra for downloading (per scene). Corbin Fisher has unlimited downloads, new solos fairly frequently and releases more scenes per week, on average. Honestly, there’s no comparison there. Corbin Fisher wins hands down.

I’m far from Team SC, but I guess I need to play devil’s advocate:

* There’s no purpose to solos if the model doesn’t return or they are only returning for a straight scene on ACS. Also, Corbin Fisher does not release solos frequently. They have as of late due to lost talent but there were gaps where they didn’t do solos or one for every 6 to 7 updates.

* Corbin Fisher has also lived off releasing recycled content from their Corbin Fisher Unlimited collection as well as getaway location shoots. Frequency doesn’t always equate new content.

* SC’s model stable far outdoes CF’s 6 at best model stable. Also, SC’s diversity has historically destroyed CF’s. For a site that built its legacy on showcasing college amateurs, why are there next to no models of color?

* SC’s scenes feature multiple action sequences between the models, sometimes up to three different sex scenes built into one. If you’re going to force me to watch some of these Corbin Fisher models, at least let them fuck more than once for 17 boring minutes.

* SC offers stability in when their members get updates. The same two days a week. While Corbin Fisher might release more scenes (and honestly if you remove the ACS scenes and re-released content, then it’s not more), their random updates leaves their members guessing on when they’ll have new content to view. “Sorry were you planning on getting off to new porn today? Check back in a few days. Maybe.”

CF in its Golden Years definitely gave SC a run for their money but currently? No. If you’re a member for the older scenes, then yeah, go wild for $25.99/month but you can do that one time, download what you want, and move on.

I’m a bigger fan of Corbin Fisher than SC’s, but there’s no contest here. SC was always consistent with their releases and they’re committed to giving us two gay scenes per week. And when they scrapped the solos, they informed everyone about it. It’s only now that we’re in this situation that they are releasing one gay scene for the week. And even with that, they’re releasing a scene that many are excited to see. Meanwhile, CF’s so inconsistent that on certain weeks we ended up waiting for a second gay scene for the week that never came. Corbin Fisher just don’t give a fuck.

When do you ever get toe sucking at SC which happens all the time at Corbin Fisher. Trying to distinguish a SC update today from one in 2016 would be rather difficult because of the sameness. I know MisterB — a hardcore SC fan — agrees with me there.

5. Now you’re just making up shit. For the week of March 11th, Corbin Fisher had Barron-Avery; Zander-Kyler, and Malec-Travis. That’s THREE new guy-guy scenes, with mostly newer models.

Current subscribers were grandfathered when the download policy went was put in place.
The charge to download was only for new subscribers from that point forward. So if you are a long time subscriber then you are grandfathered

I have no idea if that has changed, or if there is a charge for downloads today– someone here will let us know.

The comparison to SC is a low bar, as SC is just terrible now, and at least Corbin Fisher allows downloads.
But SC has an update schedule.

I’d choose Corbin Fisher over SC now easily, when 5 years ago I’d have said sc was #1, Corbin Fisher #2.
But neither site as anyway near as good as back then or for the 8 years prior.

I guess what I’m trying to say is that I understand if they’ll have fewer updates right now because of the pandemic. But yes, they’ve been doing this for a long time now even before the whole COVID-19 situation and that’s also my issue with Corbin Fisher. I don’t mind the unscheduled releases ’cause it gives the scenes some element of surprise. But to constantly delay releases and make people wait an entire week or more for a new gay scene was so inconsiderate of them. People are paying for this and yet CF’s been repeatedly shortchanging us by releasing only one gay scene on certain weeks, and that’s even before the pandemic as you said.

The “inconsiderate” comment was for all those times they gave us only one gay scene a week and/or delayed releases before things got really bad due to COVID-19. Like I said, given the current situation we’re all in, I understand the
fewer updates right now. I’m not gonna hold that against them.

I appreciate that Corbin Fisher sent us an e-mail informing us of the situation and letting us know what to expect in the coming week. To be honest, that’s all I needed from them so that we won’t be kept in the dark. I believe they are also offering discounts which will be beneficial for us all during this difficult time. So I can say they’re doing their best to cope, but they can only do so much. At the end of the day, it’s still up to you whether you’d continue to subscribe or not.

I’m not thrilled about Patrick again. He’s overused and has few fans here. But I can’t get too mad. Roughly half of the country are in states that are in lockdown and can’t leave for non-essential purposes. I can’t get mad at Corbin Fisher or any studio if their updates are less-than-stellar until this mess subsides.
