Elder Morgan has been a missionary for “just under a year.”

Missionaries are discouraged to disclose the exact amount of time they’ve been on their missions. They’ll say “just under,” or “just over” a year.

Mormons might not refer as many friends to young inexperienced missionaries…the”greenies”. On the other hand, older missionaries, near the end of their missions, won’t be around much longer. Why introduce them to a friend you’re trying to convert if they’re about to leave?

Of course, if the missionary is really hot and charismatic, members don’t seem to care as much. I suppose the thinking is that the missionary’s good looks will impress non-member friends. Maybe they’ll fall for the missionary and convert!

And with that logic, Elder Morgan is a missionary bound to impress.
