I’ve said from the beginning that while I prefer to see bb, it really doesn’t factor into whether I’ll watch Sean Cody or not. If the scene is hot, it’s a good pairing, and the models gave their all, who cares? it’s gonna take more than one scene to turn the tide, IMO. It’s gonna need a roaster of Marshall-caliber guys, and a promise sustained quality. Jimzy, if BB was causing the deterioration in casting it wouldn’t have taken a whole year to show up. Besides, there are several Sean Cody performers who everyone assumed were gone just because they didn’t want to do BB, but then they *did* return for one or more scenes. This includes Jess (who I don’t personally care for but many think he’s a major hottie who was gone because of BB), Brodie, and more. Sorry to see anyone barking up this “BB is causing model deterioration” tree again. Surely that applies in select cases, but there is no evidence that it’s a major contributor to the decline at SC.

pd and jimzy, I really don’t think bb is what’s causing any decline in model quality, or is at most a minor contributor to the decline. I posted more detail about this directly above, but at the moment it’s in mod for some reason.

One more point: Many of the fully/mostly condom sites have greatly deteriorated in model quality as well, e.g. Active Duty. In fact, they had their hottest guys *by far* back when they were 100% BB.

I think people have a skewed memory of how “hot” some of the past Sean Cody models were. When was the Sean Cody roster ever full of Ford/Wilhelmina type models? There have always been one or two “hot guys” on the A team then the B team and then the C team. I think that the A team had just gotten up to about 5-6 for a month or two (Brandon, Marshall, Joshua, Dane, Jarek) and now people feel let down that they are either tired of those models or expect to see the A team consistently stacked, when that has rarely been the case. My thought is, yes the B team is slacking. All these weird looking twink guys have changed the tenor of the sight and that’s what’s really causing the uproar. It appears the experiment to change was unsuccessful. One or two skinny pre-pubecent type guys was SC’s max and they are up to like 6. If they want to tap into the younger demographic, they need to stick with more of the nerdy jock guys like Stu, Brandon and Grant.

I agree that was a high point for SC, but the outrage that has hit this board about how bad Sean Cody is presently is not related to a 2008 comparison; it is related to the last year or so when people were wanting to send Oscars to the site for Best Movie Short. I don’t think he’s saying that at all CA. He’s basically just giving you an example of when Sean Cody was more consistent with their more than average updates. 08 was a good year. So far, this year has been a total flop and it’s because of these average/below average bottoms that they’re using as of late. Where’s Joshua? Calvin? Ashton? Any of these guys really. It’s like they were completely dropped and now we’re stuck with a regular cast that I personally have little to no interest in. Well, there’s the REAL “I just can’t.” I enjoy the variety of men on SC; while far from a Corbin Fisher refugee (terrific quality to what they do) I’l taken by the fact that they cast the net wider regarding age range, body type and now, seemingly, persona. Having personal preferences is natural and understandable. Expressing them is the point of a board like this. Even expressing when a model doesn’t do much for you or a trend that you’re not fond of, or really dislike in casting makes total sense. The constant bellyaching, and over the top nature of pile-on that erupts on this site, as modelled above, for me completely undercuts the veracity of any of the statements made as truly representative of any reasonable clients and I would hope that Sean Cody would largely disregard them in favour of more balanced feedback.
