Because if their premise were true everyone would have been shooting their loads on their partners’ backs, bellies, and mouths. HIV would not have spread so quickly because the infectious bodily fluids would have been outside the body.

This is why I produce, and will continue to produce, movies without condoms. I do it to entertain my viewers. I do it as safely as the producers of straight porn do using the highest quality testing available. And I do it with the belief that my adult viewers will not imitate what they see, disregarding the knowledge they have about safe sex.”

I agree with JC. I see lots of unprotected sex in porn, but I ALWAYS practice safe sex. My only concern is that porn actors may feel pressured into having unprotected sex but, then again, they do have the power to say “no” and/or go do some other job. People who get their knickers in a twist about condomless porn aren’t much different from people who argue that gay porn shouldn’t be allowed because it encourages people to be gay and maybe the actor is forced into doing gay porn.

I know the difference between fantasy and reality – do you? What does “mainstream” have to do with how you got HIV? Did you get it because, after watching a porn video, you thought it was safe? Um, I think not.

When I was a teenager, I decided that just because the majority of people do or say something, does not mean I have to do or say the same. So if you are blaming others for your HIV, then I say, you could have done the same (thought for yourself).

Now let’s get another thing clear: Safe-sex can be practiced without a condom. It’s called commitment. Also, IMO, porn is different from mainstream films about murder and robbing banks. Porn mentally arouses our natural selves. Most of us aren’t naturally inclined to kill or rob.
