This “gay” thing that you think is so hard-wired at birth is actually shaped and understood differently in different societies.

Racial designations, too, are not the same everywhere and at all times. In some times and places, the “mixed-race” people you speak of would be considered “black.” So (as E-Acritic says) we’re really dealing with a mental category. So maybe try to be more precise. Say you don’t like the thug look. Say you want someone who you know your friends and family will like. Whatever the case may be — but the “no blacks, no Asians, only mixed-race” or whatever is usually inaccurate. Oh, and most black guys who won’t date white guys, it’s not because they don’t find white guys attractive, it’s because they don’t want to be someone’s jungle fantasy. That’s different from saying they’re all ugly.

I think those who say some of us are kinda racist when it comes to taste in men of different races are probably right to some degree. the vast majority of Landon’s scenes are still hot; even when he’s paired with a less than “pretty” partner. Case in point: Dennis. It’s like they know that they’re the underdogs, and therefore try harder to make a worthwhile scene.

Not ready to blame it on the actors, though. It’s not clear to me that the so-called A-listers are refusing to be in scenes with Landon. No one on this board seems to know exactly how scene pairings happen, so it seems unfair to accuse the models.

So 1) It would seem to be more company strategy than actor choice that determines pairings and prevents such things as two non-whites in the same scene; and 2) who’s to say who’s A-list on SC? It’s not a clear line. You say Dennis is B-list, but he’s been in a *ton* of scenes, so clearly they like him. So it’s not clear to me where the line is between A-list and the rest… or that the models are refusing to do scenes with Landon, Robert, Immanuel, etc.

While I’m sure that some models might refuse to do scenes with certain other models, for whatever reasons, I would assume that enough of them are professional enough to do the job/pairing that’s asked of them – so long as their getting paid regardless. I’d much sooner blame Sean Cody himself on who gets paired with who, and question his motivations as to why or why not.

As far as Dennis goes, I just said that he isn’t a “pretty boy” or one of my favorites. I didn’t disparage him. To his credit, he’s always delivers a strong, enthusiastic performance…but let’s not pretend that he’s as high up on the Sean Cody food chain as Brandon and Calvin, or past favorites like Harley and Mitch.
