I’ve offered my own share of negative analyses and poking fun at performers and studios. But one of the reasons why my comments are usually long is because I try to offer constructive feedback. I’ve been to enough writers’ workshops to know that saying ‘this shit bad’ or ‘this shit good’ isn’t helpful. I try to outline what’s working and what needs improvement, so hopefully the studio becomes better.

What annoys me most is when commenters just outright call performers ‘ugly.’ That term is just so ugly, for lack of a better word.

It is true that some commenters here will troll you just for pointing out something demonstrably correct. It’s true that people throughout the gay porn blogosphere laugh at this site and its commenters; they think we’re nuts, and negative, and annoying. It’s true that studios think we’re a scratchy throat whose thirst can never be quenched.

But I’m reminded on this American Independence Day that this site offers a platform for raucous debate. There is more pluralism of perspective here than on perhaps any other gay porn blog–some of which are censored to protect commercial interests.

Here, there is room for intransigent, reflexively negative positions. There is room for jokes, memes, thoughtful consideration, changing viewpoints, expressions of euphoria and disappointment. And there is room for you…to criticize the critics and offer clarity.

This website is a microcosm of the broader Internet as a platform to exchange ideas. It’s a small, perhaps trivial, tribute to the freedom of expression enshrined by my country and many others.

Discourse, when civil, can be its own reward.

Hardly. People are honest around here. What wasnt true. Conner was flacid for the scene and Paddys dick sucking was lack luster but we should be excited and give praise to that!! Do you work for these people or what. Sorry dude some of us have standards.
