Sean Cody Rant: Cancelled my subscription and it was a long time coming. It’s clear from recent content and comments from other fans that Sean Cody is going in a different direction from the “All-American Jock” look that brought them fame. I’m an old-fashioned guy but I accept that times change and if this is what people want, that’s cool. Austin Merrick was their only current black model. They had another one before then and if there was any bad publicity from Austin being there then it was because of Duroy’s ignorance especially when he referred to Austin as mulatto and made ignorant comments about the American models’ sexual history.

Here in the U.S., “mulatto” was derogatory term used towards people born with a white parent and black parent during the slavery days. It’s not as widely-used now as it was then but in the southern parts of the United States that term still stirs some very raw and negative feelings. Hope that helps out.

As for that original black model from BA, his name started with a “K” and he was on their old Bel Ami models site but the extensive library of past and present models is now gone. I even checked Bel Ami tour and still can’t find him. Wish I could remember his name.
