I never put my personal feeling into my critiques of a gay porn site and its content.
I personally do not like the men on Helix, however, I don’t let that stop me from finding positive things about the site.

Helix ‘Surfer’ series is extremely well done.
The cinematographer uses a full frame sensor camera that mimics the look of a Hollywood 35mm cinema camera, the depths of field is amazing in Helix scenes.
The editing in most cases is spot on, sets, film continuity and art direction are spot on.
I think Helix is using a 4K ‘Red’ or a full frame Canon to shoot their scenes.

Cockboys back in 2012 had a series called ‘The Haunting’ and that series used lots of Hlywd techniques that made it look amazing visually.
I personally was very surprise that Cockyboys took the time to film such a series in the way that it did which requires numerous camera angles and that content needed to have the talent on set all the time.

Usually, a scene takes about a half a day to shoot and the talent is paid and they exit, however, in the case of
‘The Haunting’ I suspect that a scene took at least a couple of days to shoot. So yes, those scenes look like Hlywd productions because of the careful planning, editing and the use of a full frame camera.

(soft focus): could be the use of using a full frame camera that creates a shallow Depths of Field which will give a much softer blurred backgroup so the eye can focus on the foreground, its a major part of Hlywd cinema.

For example, when Calvin Banks was with Helix was his best performance, BB, and he looked great and those internals were amazing. Now, that he moved to different studios and the latest with CB, it’s a big disappointment. The scenes and the models he gets paired with is just boring. What a waste especially when he’s got the looks and the right stuff….
