How many new guys do most studios discover each year to be in a ton of new scenes?

Most studios outside of Corbin Fisher and Sean Cody don’t have solos so people don’t notice how they’re just recycling old models. Aside from GH, I’d say Sean Cody and Corbin Fisher tend to have more new models in MM scenes than any other studio.

Now i’m not usually the one to gossip, its not my thing. But Jarek said that if you wanted work at Corbin Fisher you would have to sleep with the boss. Which is why he went to RB then MEN instead of going to the next best thing at that moment. That could probably be a reason, or they probably just don’t wanna return.

I blame Henry. The thought of being paired with him would have my stomach doing back flips.

I know some models who are returning. And judging by the description about Wesley, he might be returning too.

Personally, I go for quality than quantity. Most of the guys Corbin Fisher brought back this year are hot. Can’t say the same for SC. I’m frustrated by the recent returnees at Sean Cody to be honest. To each his own, I guess.

Jarec maybe problematic, but I wouldn’t put it past them or any studio head to you their power for personal gain. Even though, that says a lot about Corbin Fisher. The fact that guys come back in a week or two over at SC, but they can only get one guy to come back? And that one guy doesn’t really count since he was already in the industry. Corbin Fisher fell apart when they got rid of Connor, I don’t ever see them returning to their glory days.

That is a jaw dropping statistic. Not just the dismalness you’re pointing out, but the sudden high return rate at SC. i wonder what was the return rate in 2011, which as I recall was a good year but not a bareback year? It seemed like during the phaseout year of the previous owner (2015ish?), they were going through solo models like disposable gloves in a fast food kitchen. Is that an indication that they were genuinely turned on by all those guys, or that they didn’t give enough of a shit to bring anyone back?

I shouldn’t type this close to my bedtime. My point is that a bunch of solo-only guys aren’t purely a bad sign. They can also be a sign that a site is in the hands of someone who finds all those guys attractive, as opposed to a company with no emotional investment. I’m not defending it, especially not at Corbin Fisher, but I think it has some credence for certain years at certain sites.

I agree that Corbin Fisher has a poor return rate of all studios who champion discovering new models, but that has always been the case. If you really want to know, it is no secret. Jason has always had a loyalty thing where he let’s mediocre models, Kenny/Henry, thrive when they tow the party line. While kicking out more popular models he finds difficult like Sebastian. It’s the worst part of their business model. I will never forget listening to him say it on a Pete’s Attic episode years ago. He was specifically talking about Brett Swanson (then he was Dylan on CF). He called them “Not a good fit for the Corbin Fisher culture”. I mean, Jason’s dramatic wiping of Connor from the Deans List shows how petty he can be.

Jason also created a system of hiring models full time–paying them salaries and offering benefits which he discussed in a Petes Attic once too–so they work in various positions and they become more like a family and it was not about the talent and product but supporting the employee who they liked.

Anyway, my earlier point is that Corbin Fisher still brings more new guys than most studios–Sean Cody and Gay Hoopla being the outliers.

If memory serves, Corbin Fisher had the better return rate than SC. I’m interested in knowing why the change? It was commonly thought that since they offered a str8 scene, that was the reason for CF’s better return rate.

Jason is many things, but I don’t think the guy who was so ruthless about people pirating his site’s vids is going to do something that is surely going to cannibalize his studio’s profits.

I agree to some extent. While I do think stuff like that happens, I also then think its up to that individual to either take that offer or refuse it.

I guess my feeling is that like with Weinstein, if this stuff was really going on at the compound it would be a well known secret by now (like it is with Lucas). Connor hasn’t implied it. Pete hasn’t. Even when Sebastian was running off at the mouth I don’t recall him saying anything like that. And if any of us did believe the rumors are true and we’re still patronizing the site, or commenting on which models are hot and should come back, or praising those rare scenes when the gay stars align while ignoring the inappropriate behavior we assume is taking place behind the scenes, that would makes us culpable.

You missed my point — I specifically said “not at Corbin Fisher.” I’m suggesting, no speculating that when it happened at Sean Cody, he was hiring guys he found hot even if they would never do more than a solo. My hypothesis — and it’s just a hypothesis — is that old Sean Cody had a greater fascination with the guys themselves while current Sean Cody is all business.

I should add that we disagree on details if we disagree at all. I suspect we agree that the solo is superfluous anyway. I liked Youlovejack because the endowments were so extreme there.
