Something has changed at this studio in the past calendar year (four months) and we all sense it. One of the tangible bits of evidence for the change is that solos are more efficiently used. Browse all of this year’s solos and then browse the end of last year, and I think you’ll find that a lot fewer guys get thrown away now. (I wish I had the patience to tally them, but I got other shit to do.) I think if we went back two or three years, we’d find an even higher rate of wasted opportunities. They deserve to be celebrated for that change.
