I think whoever is in charge of that branch of the company is just their weakest employee, and so the scenes there never measure up. And sometimes you can tell when the primary director has handed the reins over to someone else because even within the same brand, the quality can suddenly take a nosedive. Sean Cody took surprisingly long to fall off the cliff once the original owner left, but fall they did.

I don’t understand how people can be paid hundreds of dollars to do something that most of us do every day for free and then find an excuse not to do it. I’m sure the rationale is that they are using the same actors for multiple scenes in a day, but just make fewer damned scenes!

I can’t pretend to know the business of porn. I had fleeting involvement with it about 15 years ago (not as a performer). It obviously has changed a lot with each passing year. But as a consumer, I really wish they would cut production and raise quality — or maintain it, I should say, since some of their scenes are incredible. If someone gave me three scenes of apparently equal quality, two of them ending with fake loads and one ending well, I would never rewatch the two fake ones again. So I don’t understand what they gain by putting so much effort into those fake scenes. Maybe I’m not representative of the general public.
