Not to be mean but the bottom reminded me of Nosferatu. The top is a god, so pretty.

Miloš Del Rey says:

Not a big fan of the company but they do get some really hot models at times. Very rare do I see a scene where I like both models, though I wish this would have been a flip.

GayManFighteroftheStraightMan says:

The worst Dr. Who btw

Scrapple says:

I like her. Capaldi’s middle run annoyed me.

GayManFighteroftheStraightMan says:

I enjoy Science Fiction above all other genres, in fact, I wrote one of my papers on the dystopic comparisons of Asimov, Bradbury, and Huxley. Dr. Who is perhaps the most iconic Sci-Fi shows out there because the story telling possibilities are limitless. The doctor can literally travel to the furthest reaches of time and space, bear witness to the most incredible cosmic events or the most terrifying perversions of reality. It’s a show that questions the very nature of what might be possible, marvel at what might be out in the universe.

However, her season was marred with bad acting from Jodie Whittaker, who’s take on the doctor seemed to vacillate between a needy spastic to an autistic, incapable of talking to people. Which is strange because of all the previous incarnations of Doctor Who were well-versed in conversing with average civilians and capable of saying goodbye to friends. Next, the writing for the season was equally awful as exposition overshadowed any personal revelations the audience (me) might be able to glean. One of the cardinal rules of movies, tv, or theater is show don’t tell. Most, if not all the episodes, might as just be a cross grandmother wagging her finger as she passes judgement. Finally, the showrunner (or show editor) must have been inhaling industrial cleaners because they missed the point of having a normal companion to the doctor. The companion servers two purposes: being the voice of the audience to question what is happening and provides a foil to challenge the doctor’s opinions while giving a subtle moral counterpoint to the doctor’s perspective. True the companion might not be on the same intellectual level as the doctor, but they can see a situation clearer because they don’t carry around the emotional baggage that he does. In fact, the best companions (or at least my favorite ones) were not afraid to call him out on his bullshit. In her seasons, the entire entourage was passive and agreed with whatever she decided/acted. To the point where they were essentially “Yes” men who’s sole purpose was to massage her ego. Yuk!

My true ire lies with how Doctor Who was portrayed. This man is a veteran time traveler, the last survivor of his race, a man who’s essentially timeless, lived innumerable lives, had countless adventures, and forced to make horrific choices that have reshaped the fate of the entire universe. Experiences that left an indelible mark on him. Sure he might put on a jovial façade and his fashion is…unique if not laughable, but there is a darkness, sadness, and anger in the core of his character. Sure you might only catch glimpses of his ruthlessness, but when it does come out, it’s devastating. The doctor only acts like a bumbling imbecile to throw his enemies off, until it’s too late and he has the upper hand. However, the 13th doctor might actually be a real moron. She makes dumb decisions like venturing into a dangerous spiders lair to look for a missing man. Inserting herself into the lives of strangers, as if she had nothing better to do, while lashing out with creepy moralistic rants at people she sees as evil without comprehending the context or the circumstances of their lives.

tl;dr: The 13th doctor’s tenure felt cheap, manipulative, and unearned

Scrapple says:

Your last paragraph attributed everything positive about the Doctor with male pronouns, while all the negative attributes got the female pronouns. I’m not going to assume your issues with the Doctor’s portrayal are connected to this being the first time the Doctor is female (at least from the Doctor’s perspective). But all the “This man” stuff hit me a certain way. All the Doctors have had their issues. Capaldi’s Doctor was a salty curmudgeon. Smith’s was always rushing into danger. Tenant’s Doctor was charming until you crossed him. Eccleston’s Doctor was prone to dark and moody moments. Hurt’s Doctor…only exists because Eccleston didn’t want to come back. McGann’s Doctor was basically the Scarlet Pimpernel with a Tardis. Sure, the Doctor changes with each regen. But all those previous incarnations poke through here and there with each subsequent iteration.

GayManFighteroftheStraightMan says:

Correlation does not imply causation. I don’t hate Jodie Whitter because she is Doctor Who. I hate the Doctor Who she portrays. The primary reason I use male pronouns is because apart from the 13th Doctor, they were all males and still holds my positive associations.

I wasn’t a fan of the ad hominem fallacy in the first part, but your later comments regarding the previous doctors only serve to underpin and reinforce my arguments. What has the 13th Doctor added to the pantheon? I wait with breath that is bated

Scrapple says:

Actually, if you want to get technical, there have been at least six female versions of the Doctor. Whitaker and Jo Martin as adult female versions, and you had the four child and teenage female versions introduced during “The Timeless Children.”

You can continue to wait. I have nothing to prove. I have no need to convince you of anything. I posted a simple gif. You responded with a dig at the actress/character. I responded with nothing more than saying “I like her.” You responded with several paragraphs bashing the actress/character again. I responded with one paragraph stating the character has always had these same personality traits, while also questioning your insistence on him vs. her with respect to good and bad attributes. You responded by saying gender has nothing to do with it…while going on to “forget” the fact the Doctor has been female several other times before (and possibly after) Whitaker. There’s nothing to discuss. Whatever feelings that gif stirred up in you has nothing to do with me or whether or not I like the character.

GayManFighteroftheStraightMan says:

You’re pettifogging your specious position and not addressing the crux of my argument. I understand you like her, and I respect your opinions. However, my response, while verbose, dictates why your opinion is wrong. Not saying I don’t enjoy debating the finer points of a great show, but I would prefer a stronger counterargument with examples of why my position is incorrect.

If you want to get to technicalities and bring side characters into the foray, then using that same logic, the entire Doctor Who (and subsequent Torchwood) universe should not exists since it breaks the one unbreakable aphorism of the show: there is only ever one Time Lord.

Scrapple says:

Everything about this conversation is discourteous and disingenuous. Telling someone “I respect your opinions” and then saying “here’s why your opinion is wrong” isn’t a debate. It’s a one-sided argument. There are lots of things I could feel like arguing about on any given day. On this day and on this subject, there’s no need to write any more than what I’ve already written.

GayManFighteroftheStraightMan says:

I’m typically not this pugilistic unless I’m getting ready for court, but my disagreement with your opinion invites debate by providing evidence as to why my position is false or why your opinion(s) garner any merit. I’m genuinely asking for you to give examples as to why my well formed arguments lack virtue. Of course, I’d prefer it if you didn’t use logical fallacies, but that still remains to be seen.

On the whole, while I might disagree with someone, it does not mean I despise or think less of them. Your failure to sway me just points to your inability to craft a sound counterpoint on this issue. It’s nothing to be ashamed of considering for the most part, I agree with most of your opinions when it comes to gay porn.

Scrapple says:

Your insistence that there has to be a right or a wrong with respect to individual feelings about the representation of a fictional character is why I choose not to prove anything. This isn’t a courtroom. There isn’t a right or a wrong here. If you hate the character and what you feel she represents, cool. I don’t hate the character. I haven’t tried to convince you to like her. You have tried to convince me to dislike her, in between lobbing insults at me. I’m not ashamed of anything. I’m simply not interested in being spoken to as if I’m a child who doesn’t know enough to form a comprehensive assessment about a character I’ve been familiar with for more than a quarter of a century. You don’t have to Whosplain anything to me. I’m good.

Is that fake rimming with a sprinkle of fake fucking? Not suprise at all. Shithoopla really sets the bar too high for being the most homophobic “gay” porn site out there. This scene just proves that quantity and quality do not exist when it comes to their so called “gay” porn site. https://media2.giphy.com/media/IbnEx7GUoJDX2/giphy.gif
