so you’re assuming he *chooses* to speak in an annoying way, do I understand that correctly?

ever occurred to you that it might be his natural way of speaking? that there’s nothing chosen about it? I’ve been taunted my whole life for speaking affectedly since I was probably four years old. You can’t tell me I consciously CHOSE to speak in a certain way at four.

I’m sorry you were taunted. I’m not referring to him sounding what is absurdly described as “a little effeminate.” Daniel Levy’s speech patterns are easily identifiable as those of a gay man, so are Billy Eichner’s. Many of us were bullied for not sounding butcher. But they can be proud of how they present, and listening to them is nothing like nails on a chalkboard. I’m talking about sounding like Paris Hilton. A slow drawn out kitteny style that is ridiculously affected. And completely unappealing. If you sound like Paris Hilton, you’re doing it wrong, whether you’re a man or a woman.

I’m not telling people how to speak. I’m on a comments board saying what I THINK of how someone was speaking. I have zero expectation that any performers
will see my opinion much less follow it. Almost every participant on this board expresses their thoughts about what porn performers do or don’t do that they like or don’t like. Go somewhere else (like Sesame Street) if you want aspirational pablum.
