SG you have stated ‘Do you really believe what they are advertising? They are “gay”, “bisexual”, etc. in front of the camera only where people have to pay. Outside of their work, they are with a girlfriend(s) or a wife….Do you know they get cancelled by some gay fans once they tell them the truth they are really straight in life? In my experience its the other way round ,and that if they disclose their real sexuality being gay, then that is the end of their lucrative porn careers as the gay fans dont like and this had not changed in the 30 years of my reading comments about Gay4Pay Porn!

@capello75:disqus I get what you’re saying. I think the role of the director and the aspirations of the studio play a huge role in the quality of the illusion. Plenty of those Sean Cody and Corbin Fisher guys were straight back in the day. And even though sometimes their performances were somewhat limited or mechanical (Connor certainly comes to mind), they could summon an image of something they found hot, whether with their scene partner or what they were focused on in their own fantasies. Daniel’s career is interesting to me in that regard. I don’t know that he ever convinced anyone he was primarily attracted to men. But if he was paired with a bottom who was good at playing his sub (or even when Cameron was topping him), the fantasy of sex as someone being “conquered” genuinely resonated with him, at least enough for the scene to work.
