Now I’m remembering the old Simpsons episode where Bart wins the boxcar race (is that what it’s called?) and Martin scoffs as they cheer Bart, “Might I remind you I designed the car. The driver is essentially ballast.” In the OF era, everything is ballast. They just churn out content with no regard for whether it’s memorable, much less exceptional.
