With all due respect and this is not a jab at your comment, but more of an overall pet peeve of mine, it’s not like there aren’t thousands of closeted gay men trapped in straight relationships due to external / internalized homophobia. The idea that because a guy has a girlfriend then it means he’s not gay is so out of touch with the history of the human race. I’m not saying by any means that it’s Chris’ case, I don’t even know the guy, but I see this kind of comment very frequently, especially coming from the LGBT community. I understand the concept of trying to not erase someone’s bisexuality but, come on now, ignoring the fact that in history there have been millions of gay men who have dated / married women and that being in a straight relationship doesn’t mean that one is not gay is so, for lack of a better word, stupid. I’m sorry for the rant and I hope you don’t take it as a criticism to your comment, it’s more of an overall feeling that I have nowadays towards how people view sexuality in a completely distorted and superficial form.

Trying to corner them into some sort of declaration doesn’t seem to improve their life or mine. If I can give them some pleasure without making demands, that is more than fine with me.

Moondoggy, let me preface my post by saying that you’re of my favorite people in this comment section. And yes, I’ve had my fair share of hot and fun experiences with closeted guys but, I’ve also had some of the worst. Let me tell you a short story that happened to me exactly a week ago. I have this fuck buddy who is a closeted bisexual, meaning that all his friends and family think that he’s straight because he only dates girls (fair enough) but he hooks up with guys on the down low, and he does identify as bisexual to himself, at least. Last week we met and he told me (for the hundreth time, for no reason) that he would never date a guy. He went on to tell me that, not only would he never date a guy, he would never introduce me to his family and friends because, since I’m a bit feminine (in his own words), everybody would put 2 and 2 together and realize that he wasn’t straight. And let me tell you, the feeling of disrespect, disregard and unappreciation that I felt was so overwhelming that nothing he could do in bed (which to be fair he’s quite good at) could make up for the complete lack of respect that he showed me that moment. So much so that soon after our encounter I blocked him. My point is, if internalized homophobia wasn’t still so rampant, I wouldn’t have had to go through such unpleasant experience, and I know for a fact that this kind of experience is not rare or uncommon for people like us, and it sucks, wouldn’t you agree?

Thanks for answering in such a non-confrontational way, because my intention was really not to criticize you in any way. And yes, I understand the view that when you watch porn you just want to see hot sex. However, due to the advent of social media porn is not only about just sex anymore. Porn is as political as any other business in the world. So, when models involved in gay porn display traces of internalized (and sometimes blatant) homophobia, unfortunately the people who follow them (and that’s a huge amount of people these days) are influenced by distorted perceptions of sexuality, attraction, romantic feelings, etc. So, I don’t think things are as simple as that anymore, porn is not only about the actual scenes that are being produced, but for better or worse porn and porn performers have become a huge influence in their consumers’ mindset about sex, romance, relationships and etc. And I have to say that it’s sad, ironic and frustrating to see how much homophobia is spewed on a daily basis coming from people whose job is to literally stick a dick down their throat and up their ass. But this has nothing to do with this scene in particular so I don’t even know why I’m bringing all that up LOL.I think I’m just growing tired of all the bullshit.
