Andre just celebrated his 18th birthday a few weeks ago. When I first met him, I was surprised at how developed and muscular his body is for his age. It turns out that he is a huge soccer fan and loves playing the sport. He showed us a few moves and I was very impressed with his skill!
He was born in Italy and came to the States when he was younger. I had a feeling he was from somewhere else — the foreskin was kind of a hint…
“We were trying to figure out your accent and where it was from…”
“I’m actually from Italy… that’s where that accent is from,” he said.
“Does that explain why you play soccer?” I asked.
“Yeah, definitely… it’s a big cultural thing to play soccer in Italy.”
“How long have you been here?”
“About six years.”
“Do you plan on staying for a while?”
“I’m probably going to stay. I like it here!”
