The average person will test positive around day 36 using a regular antibody test (the one everyone uses). A young healthy person usually tests positive quick. It can detect it as early as 2 weeks. Almost everyone that is going to test positive will by week 6. 3 months is to exclude everyone. That’s using a typical antibody test. Using a p24 antigen test, it can detect it at about 2 weeks. Usually, they use both tests, which puts the window at about 2 weeks. If Corbin Fisher tests these guys before each shoot, then they can be very confident they are fucking bareback safely. The studio uses the AIM regulated DNA/PCR tests that can detect the virus with 14 days max ( but in most cases the diagnosis will be much quicker). It costs about $300 per model per test. The test screens the patients DNA for signs of the actual virus and not the antibodies. If the guys are asked to abstain for a week before the testing , then the results will be very accurate.
The test that Sean Cody uses is much more accurate (and not widely available in the US) it costs around $700 per model and screens the RNA for the actual virus. The window period is the smallest of any test ( 2-6 days) . Theres an ongoing Swiss study that says if the virus is not detected in the RNA and evne if the patient is infected , theres no chance of passing the virus on. Although this is questionable.
