I’m of two minds about this. On one hand, in my youth (don’t try to guess when that was!), porn was movie based, and editing was an imperative but also part of the attraction. A good editor can increase the sexual tension — all of the sexiest scenes in mainstream Hollywood movies bear that ouf. Now, because a 45 minute scene costs no more than a 20 minute scene, most porn producers exert no effort to trim the dead weight. Anything awkward or embarrassing goes right into the scene with everything else. Or if there is editing, it becomes a clumsy hack job. One of the lesser bareback sites (I’ll try to look it up and edit this later) cut out the initial penetration so much that I wrote to complain.
