[Sneak Peek] Matt Moss at Raunchy Bastards:

Coming Tuesday, September 29.

Matt Moss texted me one morning. I didn’t know who he was, but he told me he got his name from Tom Faulk, and old fuck buddy of mine, who also had done some porn.

I thought that was strange, since Tom Faulk is in prison. But Matt Moss told me that he had had my number for a few years, since he was 18, and only reached out to me because he was in dire straits.

He apparently was about an hour away, needing to check out of a motel in which he had spent the night. Matt Moss said that he only had three dollars to his name, and no gas in his car. I was intrigued to say the least, and when he sent me his photos, I told him to come right on over. I got him some gas money and the rest is history.

Globe Trotter says:

Tom Faulk’s in prison? For what?

GayManFighteroftheStraightMan says:

Arrested and imprisoned for 6 years (since 2019) for skipping out on court for drugs and assault charges.

Globe Trotter says:

Thanks. I remember stumbling on an website article a few months ago that claimed half of all porn actors eventually end up arrested and/or imprisoned. It really makes you wonder if it’s pornography that leads to a life of crime or if it’s a life of crime that leads to pornography.

moondoggy says:

@gaymanfighterofthestraightman:disqus Also really does complicate the question of consent. Feminists who are totally anti-porn are way too extreme for me, but their arguments are not lost on me. Sex work is only ambiguously a “choice.” It’s easier on average for men than women, I think, and certainly gay culture attaches less stigma to porn than the straights, and some of us even regard it with esteem. I certainly do when it’s done well. But it’s almost like college football. The opportunity to be abused and exploited is greater than the opportunity to experience it in a completely celebratory and uncomplicated way. Another “is it this or that” question is whether the industry is stigmatized for all those reasons, or if the stigma itself is the problem. Maybe sex work would be a less painful choice if the culture were less judgmental.

GayManFighteroftheStraightMan says:

@disqus_ty0OpU8raC:disqus I thought my answer was unprejudiced. Sex work should be legalized and the industry some what regulated. It would eliminate/prevent a lot of needless crimes and health concerns. As for the workers themselves, so long as they are consenting adults, it’s their body, their choice. Libertarians have some great arguments for establishing this market, although I would prefer stronger government intervention to prevent bad “actors” from abusing obvious vulnerabilities.

As for anti-porn feminists, I’ve never met one of ever considered one until you mentioned it. Honestly, I’m baffled by people who are anti-porn and try and enforce that on others, but I don’t judge (at least in public).

moondoggy says:

Oh I read no agenda in what you said. That exchange just prompted me to think about how difficult a time sex workers have, even without a pandemic, and how complicated their paths into and out of that work can be.

I’m guessing that article probably came from a website that didn’t view porn in the greatest light. It may be technically true, but it’s misleading. The vast majority of the porn star arrests I’m familiar with are for low-level crimes: petty theft, DUI’s and the like. It’s only a very miniscule subset of the industry that commits the very serious stuff. Not that it should minimize it, but there’s bad apples in every bunch.

On that note, I sort of worry people will think even less of the industry now that it’s biggest star: Ron Jeremy, has been exposed as a serial rapist. He’s the most well known male porn star ever, has been in tv and movies, and he’s a fucking creep. I’ve never watched him, but I shudder that the guy was considered the person carrying the banner for the industry for so many years. The guy is fucking fat and butt-ugly and nasty and I feel sorry for any woman that had to do a movie with him. And when people tried to point out how ugly he was to do literally hundreds of porn movies, the standard was response was “Oh, but he’s a great performer”. Fuck that. Now he’s a massive stain on the business.

Positive Vibes says:

Clay and Tom Faulk were fuck buddies? Poor Tom.

Scrapple says:

Bill Bailey meets Nick/Josh/The Big Bad Wolf from season 1 of Tell Me a Story? Ok. But that MJ tat?

Now Clay, you can say Tom was your fuckbuddy all you want. But it’s more likely he was only fucking you to get more work at College Dudes. Or get more weed while at College Dudes.
