LOL actually the first guy that “tried” about sprained his dick. He was pretty hung – and me like the silly schoolgirl all revved up thinkin the bigger the better LMFAO! After 20 very awkward minutes he decided to sit on my dick, then he about fainted and started scooting across the bed, me right behind him tryin to shove it in LOL! Good times. He finally got it all in him, and it was oddly hot. It was also the first time I realized I was above average in the size department. I remember that one. Miss Thang came out swinging with that debut album. She hasn’t quite had the career she used to (same goes for Brandy) but her old stuff still holds up. I forgot how good “So Gone” and “Knock Knock” were until I started listening to this cd again. She had an album released last year and I might have to give it a listen.

On a related note, did you hear about Britney and Justin recently saying they’d be willing to work with each other? You know that was all us, right? ☺

All budding Queens through and through, and their debut albums were straight fire. Losing Aaliyah still gets me, especially because the label should’ve just released “More Than a Woman” as the second single. The vid was already shot and ready to go, but they wanted “Rock the Boat” as the next track. So sad. She would’ve still been dropping hits today, I’m sure. Now I’m going to have to pop in her “I Care 4 You” compilation album. Doesn’t have all of her hits, but it’s a great listen.

I haven’t bought Glory yet, but it sounds like a cool album. Sort of like a mix between In the Zone and Femme Fatale. When I first heard “Love Me Down” I thought it was Gwen Stefani singing. That Britney/Justin song may be a long ways off, but I’m sure it will be worth the wait. I kind of want them to do a club song, and a ballad. But if I have to pick, club song all the way. The production values alone with be killer. And the video? Crazy.

I remember we had all just settled into the dorms, and were about to start a new semester. I couldn’t believe it. First Aaliyah, then the September 11th attacks like two weeks later, and then Left Eye died six or seven months later. That was a rough two semesters.

I had been feeling Aaliyah since “Back & Forth” and her slayage on “At Your Best (You Are Love).” It’s funny, I had a one friend with the same name, and another who looked just like her with the bone straight black hair and the dark glasses. Anyway, despite being a fan of her music and loving her work with Tim and Missy, “Aaliyah” was the first one of her albums that I bought, and that was just off the strength of “We Need a Resolution.” I bought that album the day it came out. “More Than a Woman” was on constant repeat. That’s one of the reasons I was so upset about the single thing, because I was all over that song. I couldn’t believe the reveal about her dating Damon Dash, and “Rock the Boat” being about him. I still think about how her career was really starting to reach a new level. Her role in the Matrix sequels was going to up her name recognition. Who knows what Queen of the Damned would’ve been if it had been completed before she died.

I didn’t know about the iTunes issue. It might be a distribution problem. That album was a Blackground/Atlantic distribution. Since Blackground is no more, I assume Atlantic still has the distribution rights. Maybe they haven’t seen a need to put it out there. I with you, streaming is not for me.

A Britney and Gwen song would be badass and so much fun. I’m surprised Pharrell hasn’t tried to make that happen since he’s friends with both. I’m glad you mentioned what you did about “Make Me…” I was underwhelmed too. I knew wanting B & G to be rolling around half naked was a pipe dream, but I at least figured they’d be in the same room.

Left Eye’s death was a hard one too. But at least with her she died doing something she loved. She really was a gentle, caring soul. I was shocked when I learned her protege from Blaque, Natina Reed had died a few years ago. Also in a car accident. I think she wasn’t that much older than Lisa when she passed.

I still crack up thinking of that “L-I-Y-A-H” lyric. Back then I was like “What the heck is she spelling?” I’m still not even sure that’s the lyric, because I’ve also heard people say it’s “L-I why A-H (with the A & H referring to her initials). Lol, who knows. Every girl was trying to rock that look with the hair parted over one side and the dark glasses. “Resolution” made me want to go out and buy some green contacts (and of course I did, and still do once in a while). “I Care 4 U” is a great song. The Dash thing grossed me out. First R. Kelly and then him. It felt like these older pervs kept taking advantage of her. Still wonder if there were really engaged. And not too long ago Dash said Jay tried to date her, but he nixed that. Unlike that Princess of R&B garbage biopic, the Behind the Music was well done. I can’t remember if that quote about that prophetic dream she had was there or somewhere else. I think Left Eye had a similar dream before she died.

I didn’t know Britney and Gwen were neighbors. They must have a blast together. Maybe Britney might dip her toe in the country market.

I was really excited to see what Lisa was going to do at Death Row. I haven’t heard Block Party in years, but I remember liking it. Her “N.I.N.A” persona seemed interesting.

Those were good Blaque songs. The “808” is will pop into my head at the most random moments. I also liked “I Do” with Lisa, and “Bring It All To Me” (the album version with JC/NSYNC).

The dream was brought up in an interview not long before she died. I thought they mentioned on the BTM, but I might be remembering that wrong. It was a dream about floating, being followed and some other stuff. Very creepy. That movie was so terrible. I can’t believe Wendy was involved with that trash. Zendaya made a good move dropping out of that project. The TLC movie was much better, though they left out lots of stuff, and changed other things. Lil’ Mama did her thing as Lisa. I was not expecting that. She had her look and mannerisms. That totally redeemed her after that tragic VMA incident. Keke made an okay Chilli. The other girl look like T-Boz. Pebbles deserved to get dragged and pulled for that stuff she did to those girls. Married to the head of the label and greedy as fuck. Even after she became saved she was still not owning up to her shady behavior. I never knew there was beef between Chilli and Pebbles because Pebbles thought Chilli was sleeping with L.A. Apparently Chilli was putting that pussy to work to make up for her lacking vocals.

I kind of remember that. Though I don’t see how anyone isn’t uncomfortable with Suge in the vicinity. Everyone thought that was a weird teamup at the time. Damn girl, you got the international release of Supernova? I applaud your diligence. I forgot Lil Mama was on “The Block Party.” That’s probably what helped her lock down her role as Lisa. I’m still trying to figure out how Mack 10 doesn’t factor into the TLC story at all. The Usher thing made sense, but Mack and T were married.

Wendy of all people should’ve been able to put out a good Aaliyah movie. Her involvement with that sorry effort is almost as bad as Angela Bassett’s involvement with that Whitney movie.

Tower Records. I haven’t heard that name in a decade. I thought about that too with Mack’s absence. If that’s the case it’s kind of fucked up that they take out T cathing beatdowns, but leave in Chill’s abortion. Speaking of Chills, people were raging mad about the movie showing Chilli and Lisa talking before Lisa’s death. Lisa did stop to see T-Boz in the hospital, but Lisa and Chilli were not on speaking terms at that time, and Chilli even admitted she regrets not having that moment.

Angela being involved hurt my heart. And I was already disgusted because Yaya was cast as Whitney. I’ve never been a fan of hers, stemming from her entitled, elitist, superior attitude on display way back when she did ANTM. I don’t know why people keep blowing smoke up her ass wit these acting jobs. She’s one of the reasons why I still can’t get into Chicago Med.

I think I only shopped at Tower Records a few times. FYE was my store. Probably would still be if the local ones hadn’t closed down.

I just had to shake my head when AB was doing the press circuits, talking about how good the film was. And she was the director! I haven’t been this disappointed with her since Vampire in Brooklyn.

I admire Yaya’s hustle. She knew what she wanted and went for it. But if your ego is out of control and you’re showing your ass before you’ve even entered this business, I can’t fuck with you.

Her, yes. Her having to act opposite Eddie Murphy with him wearing that leftover Randy Watson wig from Coming to America? No.
